How to check your windows is genuine

The Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program is part of the commitment by Microsoft for check that your copy of Windows is genuine or not & protect its customers and partners policies and laws. By using genuine Microsoft software, you can be confident that you will have access to the latest features, security, and Microsoft support. This helps improve your productivity and expand the capabilities of your computer.

 Here are easy steps to remove windows genuine advantage notification and check that you are using a genuine copy or not -

Step1: Open "Internet Explorer".

Step2: Go to "Internet Options" from "Tools" menu.

Step3: Click on "Security" tab and then click on "Internet".

Step4: Click on "Custom Level" under the 'Security level for this zone'.

Step5: Now under the ActiveX controls and plug-ins, click on Prompt for all the following options
• Download signed ActiveX controls
• Run ActiveX controls and
• Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting

Step6: Click on "OK" and click on "Yes".

Step7: Click on "OK".         

Step8: Now try again to validate your copy of Windows. When you are prompted to install the WGA ActiveX control, verify that the publisher is Microsoft Corporation and then click "Install". After your copy of Windows XP is validated, you return to the download that you requested and then click on "Download".
